My Story
Two sides of every local business, lived and built. A hands-on local partner, not a faceless agency.
I've been on both sides of the counter that most web companies have only ever seen from one.
I started building websites for people back in 1998, right as the web was becoming something local businesses couldn't ignore, and I did well with it early. At the same time, I owned and ran a fence company here on the North Shore from 1998 to 2008. That business taught me what no course can: how much a local company lives and dies on its reputation, its word of mouth, and how it shows up when someone is deciding who to call. I eventually sold it to my business partner and went all in on technology.
From there I built a software company that made custom software for CrossFit gyms, one of the first to do it, and it did really well. I've spent the years since building real systems: websites, hosting and cloud infrastructure, SEO, and custom software from the ground up.
Here's what I took from all of it: I'd rather build something real and keep a client for years than chase a quick win. That's the whole reason Simplify It Labs exists.
Because I've run a local business, I know you don't have time to learn hosting, SEO, or whatever the acronym of the month is. You shouldn't have to. That's the point of working with me: you run your business, I handle your online presence.
